Pede
From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
- This page is about the general term. For the DMFA character, see Pede (DMFA).
A pede is any furry character that walks on three or more pair of legs. The term is derived from the word centipede. A hextaur would qualify as a pede, but the term usually refers to a creature with many more pair of legs, and is never used for invertebrate species when they have the species-normal number of legs. They are unusual in furry fandom but have appeared, for instance, in a few of Dr. Seuss' books, e.g. the Umbus in On Beyond Zebra!.
