News:RainFurrest, United find a ready audience

This month saw both east and west US coasts come together to celebrate the launch of two new conventions, FA: United and RainFurrest. Each drew over 300 fans in three days of furry fun.

First came FA: United on August 10-12, which was produced by a group of furs who saw the demand for a new summertime convention in the Northeast.[1] Rainfurrest, held August 24-26, was conceived as a replacement for Conifur in the Northwest by the staff[2]

Rainfurrest reported that they had sold out of rooms at the hotel[3], and that they would be changing to a new hotel next year,[citation needed] while FA: United did not seem to have reports of this happening.
