Nazi Furs

Nazi Furs is a furry community who harbor an interest in WWII era Germany for historical, militaristic, strategic, living history, reenactment, or fetish reasons. Their first solid presence was through the establishment of a LiveJournal community in March of 2005.

[edit] Philosophy
Nazi Furs are not a hate group per se, nor do they support hate groups of any kind, even though espousing interest in such a polemical concept has been a center of controversy since the groups' inception.
Rather, this group seeks to further the understanding of Hitler's Germany through study and discussion.
The LJ community itself has stated that it will not tolerate racial hatred, genocide, anti-Semitism, or any political ideology relating to the former, from any member of its community.
The moderators strictly monitor registration requests, and will not allow anyone who is in or relates with any hatred groups to join.
Any posts pertaining to anti-Semitism, racial hatred, ethnic cleansing, and the like (unless they are obviously sarcastic or humorous) will be deleted, and the posting user will be banned.[1]

However, some behavior contrary to these rules by individuals claiming to be members of this group has led more than its fair share of controversy in the group, causing discomfort in the ranks of some of the fandom's older members.[2]
